Feather Shot

When the cue ball hardly touches the object ball on a shot

Ferrule

The piece of metal or other material at the end of the cue shaft, which attaches the cue tip to the cue

Follow Shot

A shot that causes the cue ball to roll forward after hitting an object ball by striking it above center

Foot of Table

The end of the billiard table where the balls are racked before the game begins

Foot Spot

The point on the foot of table where the center diamonds of the short rails and the second diamonds of the long rails meet

Foot String

An imaginary line that stretches between the second diamonds of the long rails through the foot spot on the foot of table

Foul

A violation of the rules of the game as defined in the game rules

Frozen

When a ball touches either another ball or a cushion
