Rack

The triangular device used to group the balls prior to the start of the play

Rails

The highest uncovered surface of the table, from which the cushions extend toward the playing surface

Reverse English

An English applied to the cue ball and causes it to drive toward the opposite direction of its natural path

Running English

An English which causes the cue ball to rebound from an object ball or a cushion
